In case you missed church on Sunday or forgot to grab a prayer guide for the Haiti Missions Team, here it is!
Sunday is here again and we hope that you’ve had an amazing week! We want to give you a heads up on some things that are coming just in case you cannot be at church on Sunday.
- We have a team heading to Haiti! Some will be there for 1 week, but others will be there for 2. Keep them in your prayers as they go down to share the love of Christ by sharing their lives with those in need.
- Parent’s Night Out is redesigned! Friday, February 14th, we will be hosting the second PNO event. If you have kids and would like to have a night out…check our our PNO event!
- “Caring Through Sharing” 1st Annual Clothing Drive – The Matthew Milhem Foundation supports families who have suffered the loss of their home and material possessions by providing the family with clothing and other goods as quickly as possible. If you would like to support this drive Emmanuel Evangelical will be a drop off point. See the west-entry for details
There is more information in the bulletin if you cannot make it to service. Have a great week!
After our first Family Service and Parent’s Night Out, we’ve modified our plan a bit. We are looking forward to this ministry opportunity and serving the parents of our community over the next three months. We will begin February 14th, Valentine’s Day, by watching up to 30 kids at the church while parents go out and enjoy an evening. »»
We’ve added some content that was addressed on Sunday including the word studies, the message (.mp3) and that video from UC Berkeley. All of that content can be found here.
Also, a group met Sunday after service to discuss the Parent’s Night Out ministry and some really good insight was given. We are going to redesign that ministry a little but plan on rolling that out over the next few months. We will need volunteers to help with providing some snacks and even watching the kids if you are interested! We should have an announcement this coming Sunday for everyone.
There are several small groups in the beginning stages of forming. Some of the groups will focus on marriage, spiritual disciplines, and discipleship. We are looking forward to seeing what comes out of these groups so keep them in your prayers and also whether or not you’d like to get involved with something like this!
Sunday is here again and it looks like some rough weather is moving into the area. We will hold services tomorrow but we are asking people to please be careful in choosing whether or not to make the trip, especially if you are coming from out of town!
In the event that weather is reasonable we will also be hosting the final session of the Bible at 6pm. We had some trouble with the DVD’s last Sunday night but we have new DVD’s and we have fully previewed the next session so we know that it works!
If you aren’t able to make it in for the service tomorrow here is the bulletin to help you keep up with announcements and happenings!
